Ditat uses AI-assisted processing to extract shipment information from uploaded rate confirmations and bring that data directly into the shipment workflow.
You open a scan tab in Ditat and select a rate confirmation file or drag one onto the page. Ditat processes the document and returns the details it identified - customer, reference IDs, stops with appointments and addresses, cargo weight, and charges - each shown next to the value it read from the document so your team can check it before anything is saved.
AI document processing is built for rate confirmations. You upload the rate confirmation file you already receive from the broker, and Ditat reads the shipment details out of it. Other document types are handled through Ditat's normal document management and EDI workflows rather than AI scanning.
Yes, and that is the intended workflow. Every extracted value is shown alongside the original rate confirmation, which stays open in a viewer next to the results. Where Ditat proposes a match - a customer record, an appointment, a normalized address - it shows the original value and the suggestion side by side, and you can pick a different one before creating the shipment.
No. Creating the shipment is a deliberate step you take after reviewing the scan results. Ditat then opens a new shipment prepopulated with the scanned data - billing and general information, reference numbers, and stops - which you can still edit before saving.
Ditat uses the broker details it reads from the document - company name, phone, email, MC number, and DOT number - to look for the matching customer record in your Ditat data. The suggested customer is shown next to the original value from the document, and when more than one record could match you can open the list and choose the right one.
Yes. Each scan runs in its own tab, so a dispatcher can start several rate confirmations and keep working while they process. Each tab keeps its own document and its own results, and shows whether that scan is still running or finished.
The rate confirmation you uploaded is kept with the shipment, so the source document stays available from the shipment record for later reference, billing questions, or disputes.
Not necessarily. AI extraction is a best-effort read of the document, so results can vary between runs and depend on how the rate confirmation is laid out and how legible it is. That is why Ditat shows every extracted value against the original document, lets you correct anything before the shipment is created, and lets you submit feedback on a scan result so accuracy improves over time.
